His Story
Prior to Genuine Edge Solutions, Richard was a founding Partner at Candle Resource Group, a global recruiting and consulting firm. With over two decades of experience, he has a proven track record of leading complex staffing initiatives and building high- performance recruitment teams across diverse industries, including defense, energy, technology, and consulting services. He is adept at gaining a deep understanding of hiring managers' needs and delivering on fast-paced recruiting timelines to exceed expectations.
At Candle Resource Group, Richard was instrumental in building the startup from concept, establishing the operational processes and deliverables that drove the firm’s rapid growth. He was primarily responsible for global talent assessment, recruitment strategy, and regional operations across the Americas and the MENA region. His work focused on the discreet provision of uniquely qualified, subject matter experts (SMEs) to meet critical needs in training development, material acquisition, and advisory services for the intelligence, military, and criminal investigations sectors. Additionally, he successfully cultivated a global network of high-level military and intelligence SMEs, deploying them on transformative international assignments.
Richard’s extensive career includes leadership roles where he managed large-scale recruitment for global organizations. Prior to his current role, Richard held senior recruiting positions at major organizations such as Raytheon, where he supported specialized groups within Intelligence & Space and Missiles & Defense groups and drove comprehensive search strategies for senior and niche technical candidates in Engineering, IT, Cyber Security, and Software Development, with a focus on roles requiring active security clearances.
At Power Recruiting Group, Richard partnered with clients to deliver full-cycle recruiting for the energy and IT sectors, including power generation, alternative energy, oil & gas, and artificial intelligence. At Nexeo Solutions, Richard led corporate recruiting efforts for the world’s largest chemical and plastics distributor, successfully filling high-impact roles across finance, legal, and supply chain departments. At Aon-Hewitt, he was responsible for a large-scale expansion of sales personnel by hiring 280 inside salespeople.
He holds a BA in Technical Communications from Texas Tech University. In his role at Genuine Edge Solutions, he remains committed to helping businesses navigate changing employment climates by providing the rare expertise necessary for project success and long-term growth.
